China saw 73.41 million domestic tourist visits during the three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday that ended Monday, according to data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Domestic tourism revenue generated during the period totaled 28.68 billion yuan, figures from the ministry showed.
文化和旅遊部發布的數據顯示,中秋節假期(9月10日-12日)全國國內旅遊出遊約7341萬人次,實現國內旅遊收入286.8億元。
Night-time sightseeing is a highlight of the Mid-Autumn Festival, with lakes and rivers in cities including Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Nanjing ranking among the most popular destinations for sightseeing at night, according to the ministry.
都市夜遊亮點突出。杭州西湖、廣州珠江、上海黃浦江、南京秦淮河等地的城市夜景觀光熱度持續走高。
Short-distance tours were preferred options of travelers during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. Short-distance trips to suburbs, for example, were the most popular choice for travelers.
短途旅遊是遊客在中秋假期的首選。例如,城市周邊遊是最受旅行者歡迎的選擇。
Also, tours such as appreciating the night view and the moon from a boat and enjoying beautiful lanterns were preferred over the holiday as these are traditional activities during Mid-Autumn Festival, said the ministry.
另外,乘坐遊船夜遊賞月、賞燈等中秋節傳統項目也受到熱捧。
The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, fell on Saturday this year. It is usually marked by family reunions, enjoying sights of the full moon, and eating mooncakes.
今年的中秋節是9月10日。家人們在中秋節常常團聚在一起,賞月、吃月餅。
