多州被龍捲風侵襲
據報道，美國中部多個州遭到了龍捲風的襲擊，包括阿肯色州、密西西比州、伊利諾伊州、肯塔基州、田納西州和密蘇里州。
肯塔基州州長安迪？貝希爾在11日的新聞發佈會上表示，此次龍捲風是該州歷史上“最嚴重、最具摧毀性、最致命的龍捲風”。目前至少有70人死亡。
貝希爾認為，肯塔基州最終的死亡人數將超過100人。目前，該州已宣佈進入緊急狀態。
此次龍捲風襲擊，還造成阿肯色州一家養老院2人死亡，20多人受傷，另有一雜貨鋪被嚴重破壞，造成1人死亡。伊利諾伊州一個亞馬遜倉庫大面積坍塌，已確認6人死亡。田納西州和密蘇里州，分別至少有3人和2人死亡。
The death toll from powerful tornadoes that devastated parts of the United States overnight rose to more than 80 on Saturday.
The Storm Prediction Center of the U.S. National Weather Service said it received 36 reports of tornadoes touching down in Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas and Mississippi.
More than 70 people are believed to have been killed in Kentucky alone, many of them workers at a candle factory.

U.S. President Joe Biden said that this was likely to be "one of the largest" tornado outbreaks in American history. "It’s a tragedy. And we still don’t know how many lives were lost or the full extent of the damage," he added.

對此，拜登回答説，目前還不能斷定全球變暖對此次龍捲風的產生有什麼具體影響，並表示將要求環境保護署和其他機構去調查。
