外媒最新消息稱，當地時間4月2日，美國國會大廈附近一輛汽車衝撞國會建築物，導致兩名國會警察1死1傷，犯罪嫌疑人被擊斃。國會大廈及周邊地區隨即被封鎖。

據悉，這是國會大廈在不到三個月時間裏第二次被封鎖，上次是在今年1月美國總統拜登準備宣誓就職期間。

美國國會警察局代理局長尤加南達·皮特曼在一份聲明中表示，汽車闖過國會安全護欄後，司機跳車，並持刀砍向國會警察，警察開槍打死司機。
Video shows the driver of the crashed car emerging with a knife in his hand and starting to run at the pair of officers, Capitol Police Acting Chief Yogananda Pittman told reporters. Authorities shot the suspect, who died at a hospital.
皮特曼表示，遇襲身亡的警官被確認為威廉·“比利”·埃文斯，已經在美國國會警察局工作了18年。
Police identified the slain officer as William “Billy” Evans, an 18-year veteran who was a member of the department's first responders unit.
警方確認襲擊者是一名25歲的印第安納州黑人，名叫諾亞·格林（Noah Green）。

拜登：感到痛心
白宮將降半旗致哀
美國有線電視新聞網（CNN）報道稱，事件發生後，正在戴維營度過“復活節”假期的拜登及其夫人發表聲明，對此事表示痛心（heartbroken）。
“吉爾和我在得知美國國會附近一個安檢站發生的暴力襲擊事件後，感到痛心。在這次襲擊中，美國國會大廈警官威廉·埃文斯遇難，另一位警官正在奮力搶救中。”
"Jill and I were heartbroken to learn of the violent attack at a security checkpoint on the US Capitol grounds, which killed Officer William Evans of the US Capitol Police, and left a fellow officer fighting for his life." Biden said.

拜登還表示，自己不斷從國土安全顧問那裏收到有關這起事故的簡報，並將持續關注調查進展。
“I have been receiving ongoing briefings from my Homeland Security Advisor, and will be getting further updates as the investigation proceeds,” he added.
目前，拜登已下令白宮降半旗向埃文斯致哀。
Biden also said he has ordered that the White House flags to be lowered to half-mast.
此外，眾議院議長南希·佩洛西和參議院多數黨領袖查克·舒默都公開表示對埃文斯英勇行為的讚賞和對其逝世的哀悼。
