A Diary for My Yunduo’er
Day 940, Jul 10, 2020 (Fri)
Mummy made a knee-jerk decision to include cycling in your outdoor activities of the day. You were not concentrated on what you were expected to do. A big bummer! You did not pedal but incessantly swiveled your head towards people coming and going or cast your eyes over rowdy kids romping around.
“Yunduo’er, you need to focus,” mummy said to you in a forthright reproachful tone. “They have nothing to do with you.” She stooped down and began to wheel the bicycle with one hand steadying the handlebars and the other turning the pedals. Your eyes continued to stray, so mummy told you off again. Put off by the nag, you lifted your feet from the pedals and rested them on the sloping metal bar in front of you as a protest.
With a slight pain in her waist, mummy was taking the load off her feet sitting on the raised rim of flower bed. You had got off your bicycle. Seeing a butterfly fluttering above the flower bed, you exclaimed, "Butterfly, butterfly," your eyes alight with excitement. YOu even attempted to get into the flower bed for a close encounter with insect.
