The Communist Party of China"s First National Congress opened in Shanghai on July 23, 1921, and closed on a boat on Nanhu Lake in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province. It marks the founding of the Party, and July 1 was later designated as the date to commemorate the anniversary.

1921年7月23日，中国共产党第一次全国代表大会在上海开幕，最后一天的会议转移到浙江嘉兴南湖的游船上举行。党的一大宣告中国共产党成立。后来，7月1日被确定为中国共产党诞生纪念日。
