從官方的資料可知，《三十而已》的英譯名為Nothing but thirty。
Nothing but在英語裏是個常見詞組，它的基本含義是“只是；僅僅；除……外”。
表示“三十多歲”可以説thirty something，這裏的something是代詞， (表示不確切的描述或數量)大致，左右。此外，something 還表示差不多。在數詞後面加上 something 就是一個大概的數字。
因此，這裏的Nothing But Thirty就可以理解為“只是三十歲、僅僅三十歲、三十歲而已”！
另外，在表達三十多歲的時候，千萬不要説 more than thirty!!!
more than一般情況下指的是超過很多，因此，more than thirty可能代表40甚至50以上。
如果想説明一個人處於三十歲這個階段，可以使用in one' s thirties這個短語。
