Communication Arts 創立於1959年，由《Communication Arts》雜誌主辦，至今已舉辦了61屆。其一直致力於出版全球最佳視覺傳播，目前其已開啓線上展示畫廊，並且作為全球創意人交流和展示的一個藝術平台，同時也提升了藝術領域的最高專業標準。
Communication Arts官方賽事涵蓋整個視覺傳播領域，面向全球的設計師、插畫師等藝術家和學生羣體等。分為六大賽事類別：字體、廣告、插畫、交互、設計、攝影。
最近，由羅德島設計學院插畫系主任Robert Brinkerhoff、《華爾街日報》藝術總監Marlene Szczesny、企鵝蘭登高級設計師Nora Grosse、日本插畫師木內達朗等10位設計師組成的評審團進行權威評審，公佈了2020 年度插畫獎獲獎全名單
這一屆賽事，官方徵集了自2019年1月至2020年1月此時間段的插畫創作作品共計3863份，其中包括用於廣告、刊物、書籍、營銷、影視動畫、機構協會、個人推廣，以及未出版過或是學生創作的眾多作品。
最終，125件優秀插畫作品成為優選之子，獲得CA卓越獎（CA Award of Excellence），並且這些作品還將收錄到《Communication Arts Illustration Annual 61》的雜誌中。
